Premier to visit Cranbrook, Rally being organized!

NO CBM/ Wild Rivers/ Jumbo Wild Rally in Cranbrook is ON! We will pass on a collective message to Gordon Campbell and the Liberal Party at their $100 a plate fundraiser at the Royal Alexander Hall Tuesday June 17th @ 6:15 PM.

A bus will be leaving Fernie at 5:00PM on Tuesday June 17th from the College of the Rockies with signs from the Farewell BP Street Party.

We need people, people, and more people. Bring kids who love wilderness, cousins who like grizzlies, dads who love fishing, and even that crusty old uncle who hates hiking but loves local democracy, and Meet in Cranbrook at 6:15 on Tuesday, June 17. We will meet on 8th avenue just off the western end of Baker Street. See a google map here.

Our Message:

The Kootenays are Saying NO to Coalbed Methane. If the Flathead is too environmentally sensitive for CBM development then the Elk Valley where residents live is too!

Jumbo has dragged on for 20 years and we want it put to bed NOW. Keep Jumbo Wild.

Our Rivers are Not for Sale and the Liberals need to halt all IPP applications NOW!

That is it. At the West Kootenay Rally all the media soundbites were "I am here because my friend is" and "I don't know why I am here". None of that, thanks.

We want a peaceful, colourful, fun, and LOUD rally for NO CBM, and our wild backcountry. Dress up, make signs, make banners, bring drums, instruments, and enthusiasm. We need 100+ people. Buses coming from Fernie and Invermere, so pass this message along and come out for a fun night FOR THE WILD!
