Fernie's Jason Krog lifts Wolves to Calder Cup glory

BC Hockey League graduate Jason Krog capped an outstanding 2007/08 season with a hat-trick in the Chicago Wolves' Calder Cup-clinching 5-2 victory over Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Tuesday night. The performance put an exclamation point on a 38-point postseason for Krog, who was named the American Hockey League's playoff MVP.

The Calder Cup and Most Valuable Player hardware will be added to an already extraordinary trophy haul for the 32-year old native of Fernie, B.C. Krog had already captured regular season MVP honours and the league's scoring title after tallying 39 goals and 73 assists in 80 games.
